The 1 Powerful Skincare Product That Can Visibly Reverse Sun Damaged Skin

Growing up I was never the type of girl that was into make up or anything skincare related.

I only used the basics as a teenager, the typical Neutrogena face wash, regular body lotion for my face, the famous Covergirl compact powder, lip gloss, mascara and eyeliner. That was it for a girl growing up in the mid 90’s.

It never crossed my mind to wear sunscreen, so I hardly ever used it.

Mainly because of the fear of ingredients found in most sunscreens that were potentially the culprits of skin cancer. Needless to say, sunscreen is in fact the 1 powerful skincare product you need to add into your daily skincare routine, if you are not already using it.

This picture below was taken in 2014 and that was the day me and my husband knew that we should've used sunscreen.  We stood there for a few minutes and we got the most sunburn we'd ever experience in our lives, we were both in pain for the next couple of days.

There was a survey conducted that found that only 1 in 10 Americans take this one important step in their daily skin care routine, and actually apply sunscreen on a daily basis.

I have officially become part of the 13% of the daily sunscreen users in the USA.

My hope for you is that by the end of this blog post you decide to
implement this important step in your daily skin care routine that will visibly improve your skin complexion as found in this study.

I will also share with you the types of sunscreen that I have found to have the safest ingredients and which ones offer the most protection.

As I talk about in my Reverse Aging book sun exposure is one of the leading causes of premature aging. 80% of the visible skin damage and signs of aging is due to exposure to UV light as found in one study.

I was never really interested in skincare until the last 9 years, and much less interested in sunscreen until last year when I bought my very first facial sunscreen.

I went on a little quest to do my research and ended up finding what I believe is the best sunscreen out in the market.

I now make sure that the sunscreen products I use contain only minerals like zinc and titanium dioxide because of their safety (read safety study), and the combination of these two naturally occurring minerals protect you from UVA and UVB rays, making them a broad spectrum sunscreen.

What to Look for in a Safe Sunscreen

Look for mineral based sunscreen that include both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide
Decide the coverage: 30 SPF provides 97% protection
50 SPF provides you with 98% coverage protection
100 SPF provides you with 99% protection
Make sure it is a broad spectrum sunscreen, this will protect you from UVA and UVB rays.

UVA (ultraviolet A) rays are those of longer wavelength and associated with skin aging, while UVB (ultraviolet B) are of shorter wavelength and associated with skin burning.

Skin cells can become damaged by UVA and UVB if they are not protected, causing DNA mutations, which can lead to skin cancer and premature aging.

The collagen fibers in the skin are affected when you expose your skin to UV light resulting in the early appearance of skin aging.

A study found that if you give your sunscreen a chance for 12 weeks, you will visibly start to notice an improvement on your skin texture, clarity and pigmentation, as well as it may reverse the signs of damage to the skin from sun exposure, and if you continue to use it you will continue to see major improvements.

As a busy mom of a 3 and a 5 year old I needed to find something that would also give me not only sunlight protection but make-up coverage, and this is my favorite and current product that I use every morning.

It protects my skin and has a tint to it so I can get my light make-up done at once, but if a tinted sunscreen is not for you don't worry, they the brand I use also have sunscreen without any tint added to it.

This sunscreen has a coverage of 50 SPF which means gives you about 98%
Sunscreen protection, if you want maximum protection you might want to get a 100 SPF that provides you with 99% protection, as it was found in another study to be greatly beneficial, but even if you use a 30 SPF it provides you with a 97% protection.

This is my Favorite  Sunscreen
